How these articles are made, what the sources are for, and what happens when we get something wrong.

Every claim is tied to a passage

Each article ends with a full source list. Every source shows the publication, the title, a link, and the exact passage the claim rests on. The numbered markers in the text point to that passage, so you can check a statement without leaving the page or taking our word for it.

Articles are built by a pipeline that retrieves source material first and only then writes. A claim whose figures do not appear in the passage it cites is dropped rather than reworded — we would rather publish three solid facts than eight with two invented. Articles that fail this check do not get published at all.

AI is part of how we work

We use AI tools for research retrieval and drafting. They do not decide what is true: the source check above runs on the output, and a person reviews the article before it goes live. Where a question is genuinely unsettled, we say so in the Still argued section rather than picking a side for the sake of a clean ending.

Videos and articles

Most articles have a short companion video on one of our YouTube channels. The video is the summary; the article is the longer version, with the sources attached. Neither is a transcript of the other.

Advertising and affiliate links

We run display advertising. Ad slots are fixed positions in the page template and are labelled Advertisement; advertisers have no input into what we cover.

Some articles include affiliate links, always inside a block labelled as such. If you buy through one, you pay the same price and Verden Saga earns a commission. Affiliate links are marked rel="sponsored" and never appear inside the body of an article.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. Corrected articles carry an updated date. Write to us via the contact page.
